While opportunities for most of these activities exist to one degree or another in all of our parks, we have created a list identifying the most popular choices. Remember that each activity is best with certain conditions...when it is cold with no snow, get out your skates, or walking shoes. When the snow is good get out your skis, sleds or snowshoes. There is always something fun to do. Click here to go to the complete listing of fun FREE outdoor winter activities in Burlington!
SOUTH END RESIDENTS EXPLORE COMMUNITY GARDEN POTENTIAL AT CALLAHAN PARK:
Residents of Ward 5 are looking for feedback about potentially creating a new Burlington Area Community Garden site at Callahan Park. The area being explored is east of the tennis courts on the hill towards Shelburne St. Currently the group is working with Parks and Recreation, CEDO, Friends of Burlington Gardens and Burlington Permaculture to propose a design and plan. Residents interested in getting more involved can contact Susan Munkres at 540-0736 or by email at susannah3@gmail.com .
