Burlington's parks are available to the public on a first-come – first-served basis. However, certain facilities may be available for special use on a reservable and exclusive-use basis. Special use of these facilities must be compatible with the department's overall policy of appropriate use and good resource stewardship.

A park special use permit is required to reserve a park area or facility or if a group of 20 or more people desire to use a park area. The cost of the permit is $25. For more information about park special use permits or to reserve a facility, please call 865-7247.

A parking pass is required to bring a vehicle to Waterfront, North Beach, and Oakledge, Leddy Parks and to Perkins Pier during the operating season, which begins May 15. A seasonal or daily parking pass can be purchased at the gates or at our offices at 645 Pine Street, 216 Leddy Park Road or 130 Gosse Court.

Season passes may be purchased at North Beach, Oakledge Park and Perkins Pier when gate attendants are on duty.  Season passes allow unlimited admittance to Oakledge, Leddy and North Beach.  Season passes will not be honored at Perkins Pier marina on non-holiday weekdays before 11am unless pass holders are using marina facilities and lake access for recreational purposes.  Season passes honored at Perkins Pier during weekends and holidays. Park admission is always free if you enter by foot, bike, or other non-motorized transportation.  All season passes will be honored at the Waterfront (College St) Lot after 10am.
Season passes are $45 for Burlington residents and $60 for non-residents.  Boat trailer season passes are available at Perkins Pier for $30.
SECOND HOUSEHOLD VEHICLE PASSES:   We will be offering families an opportunity to buy a discounted pass for a second vehicle in the same household.  The rate for this second household parking pass will be $25 for Burlington residents and $30 for non-residents.  To obtain a second household pass, it must be purchased at the same time as the initial parking pass, drivers will be given a voucher to redeem for a parking sticker when the second vehicle is brought to one of the parking gates.
STUDENT PASSES:  We are again offering a student season pass for $25 - whether you are a student who attends a school in Burlington and stays for the summer, or you attend school away and return home for the summer, if you reside in Burlington and are a student, you are eligible for this discounted parking pass. Burlington residents with limited incomes may apply for a free season pass in person with recent proof of income at the Burlington Parks & Recreation Office.  Call 865-7247 for a packet.
Call the Burlington Parks & Recreation Department at 802-865-7247 for more details, or stop by the offices at 645 Pine Street to purchase the pass. Passes may also be purchased on site at the parking gates.
