Q: How much does it cost to enter city parks?
A: There is no entrance fee for city parks. For certain parks; Leddy, North Beach, Waterfront, Perkins Pier and Oakledge there is a parking fee during the summer season. Daily parking fee is $4 Burlington residents, $5 non-residents and a seasons parking pass is $35 Burlington residents and $50 non-residents. Daily and seasonal passes can be purchased at any of the parks listed above after May 15.

Q: Can I reserve the picnic shelter(s) at Oakledge Park for a private event?
A: The shelters can be reserved for a fee by calling 865-7247. A new picnic shelter will also be available for reservation at North Beach beginning in 2004 by calling the same number listed above.

Q: Can I bring alcohol into city parks?
A: The possession and consumption of alcohol is generally prohibited in city parks. The exceptions are Oakledge, Leddy, Calahan and North Beach Parks where alcohol can be consumed from cans between the hours of 7:00 AM and 9:00 PM. No glass bottles or beer kegs are permitted in city parks.

Q: Can I have amplified music in city parks?
A: Amplified music thru the use of a band or a D.J. is permissible in certain city parks but there are restrictions that apply. Please call 865-7247 for the details.

Q: Are dogs allowed in city parks?
A: Dogs are allowed in all city parks but must be on a leash at all times. Owners are responsible for the cleanup and proper disposal of all dog waste. Dogs are prohibited from the three designated swimming beaches and their adjacent picnic areas at North Beach, Leddy and Oakledge Parks. There are fenced off-leash dog areas maintained at Starr Farm Park and along the waterfront in the Urban Reserve north of the Moran Plant.
