Off-Leash Dog Areas
Burlington now has two fenced, off-leash areas for dogs:
Waterfront Site
Located about 1,000 feet north of the Moran Building (old Burlington Electric generating station), this site provides access to the lake and can be reached via the bike path. It is a walk-in area only, with parking available at the north end of Waterfront Park or at North Beach. It is open year 'round at all hours.
Starr Farm Park
This area is located just west of the bike path and adjacent to the community garden. Convenient parking and water are available at the site. It is open daily from 8 a.m. to dusk.
Dog owners are expected to maintain control over their dogs, clean up after them and ensure that their dogs are properly licensed and vaccinated. Children under age 13 are not allowed in off-leash areas without adult supervision.

Basic needs include unlocking and locking the gate daily, restocking the doggy pop bags, empting interior trash cans (dumpster located in parking lot) and acting as a liaison between Parks and Recreation and Dog Park users.
