North Beach is located at the end of Institute Road off of North Avenue, just past Burlington High School and right off the Burlington Bike Path. Open May 1 through Labor Day.

Daily Parking: $6 per vehicle daily parking fee ($8 for non-residents) between 9:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m. Lifeguard coverage 11am-6pm daily June 19-August 21 and then weekends through Labor Day.

Amenities at North Beach include a grassy picnic area with grills and picnic tables, a full service snack bar open daily 11am-6pm, rest rooms and foot showers, as well as the new picnic shelter which accomodates groups of up to 70-80.

North Beach has a beach wheelchair available for use by the public - please inquire about availability at the lifeguard station.

Water quality testing is done at North Beach weekly during the summer on Mondays and Thursdays. Results are available on Tuesdays and Fridays. Any results which require closing of the beach will be posted on the front page of our website.

BLUE-GREEN ALGAE INFORMATION: The Vermont Health Department is on the lookout for blue-green algae along the our waterfront. To learn more about the dangers of blue-green algae, or to report a sighting, please visit the Vermont Health Department site: http://www.healthvermont.gov/enviro/bg_algae/bgalgae.aspx
